Carbon Literacy Training

Carbon Literacy is “An awareness of the carbon dioxide costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis."

The Carbon Literacy Project offers a day’s worth of Carbon Literacy learning, covering – climate change, carbon footprints, how people can do their bit, and why it’s relevant to you and your audience.

It was recognised as such by the UN at COP21, in Paris, where it was awarded as a TAP100, one of 100 worldwide Transformative Action Programs.

Keep Scotland Beautiful offer this training for individuals, communities and organisations in Scotland:

The idea seems to be a good one, however it seems primarily to be an advertisement for a particular service.

Love the Carbon Literacy Project. I think it’s very important when learning to introduce a shared vocabulary that everyone can use and understand. Here you are look at all age groups, emphasising hope over despair and tackling Climate Change issues with the Scottish community in mind. What is not to like:)
