Create dog parks

There are so many different uses for our parks and greenspaces, but there is often conflict between different park users particularly those with dogs. We have issues with dog fouling, and dogs cause a huge amount of disturbance to wildlife and there is often conflict between dogs and children/runners/cyclists. It would be great to create special places for our dogs for walking and exercise, and then also create dog-free zones for people and wildlife.

Why the contribution is important

Creating dog free zones will help reduce disturbance for wildlife and create spaces for people away from dogs - particularly important for children and people who don't like dogs.

It's a nice idea in theory, but people wouldn't use them. They'll just go to wherever is nearest. Montgomery St Park is meant to be dog free and no one cares. My kids school won't use it for the kids be

My kids school won't use that park because it's so full of dog dirt. There are too many dog owners who don't care and no enforcement of restrictions on park use or fines for not picking up after dogs.
