Greater support for low emission organisations

I think that Edinburgh should really draw its attention to handing out grants to firms who cut down their annual emission rates by at least 50%. Which would in return encourage firms to do this which would decrease climate change.

Aswell as this, I think that Edinburgh should invest more in ecofriendly technology such as hydrogen propelled planes which were introduced by airbus. And in electric and hybrid cars which would ultimately lower the emission rates of our city.

Why the contribution is important

Supporting firms who cut their emissions, would encourage others to do the same

    Policy and Sustainability Committee 23/7/20

    Achieving Net Zero by 2030

‘Planning for a green recovery and the Council net zero by 2030 carbon target will be integrated into the Adaptation and Renewal Programme including all future significant operational or financial proposals that will form the basis of a new council business plan. An update on progress will be provided in October’

However, on the Edinburgh Council Website it looks like this is still the latest information, with no new Council business plan as yet:(
